Terms of Use
Draft, to be reviewed before Liars Dice is in the App Store.
Who we are
Liars Dice is run by Bruce Ogden, an individual in Thailand ("we"). By making an account you agree to these terms. Questions: support@liarsdiceapp.com.
A game for fun
Liars Dice is played for fun. There are no bets, no stakes and no prizes. Game wins, match wins, ratings, stats and celebrations have no money value and cannot be exchanged for anything. Please don’t use the app to arrange betting.
Your account
Accounts are for people aged 13 or older. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
Choose a username that isn’t offensive and doesn’t pretend to be someone else. We may change or remove a username, or close an account, that breaks these terms.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Account, then Delete my account.
Playing fairly
Play your own seat on one account. Don’t use a second account at the same table, or share your dice with another player during a match.
In a quick match you have 60 seconds a turn. Running out of time puts you out of the match, and it counts as losing the game.
Be kind to other players and in your groups. Group owners and members with rights decide who joins their groups.
You can block or report any player: tap them at the table, in the lobby or in a group. Reports go to us at support@liarsdiceapp.com; we may change a username or close an account that breaks these terms.
Spare dice
You can buy spare dice in the app, through the App Store. A spare die can be used in a match straight after you lose one, up to the dice you started the game with, in matches that allow them: always with computer players, and between people when the host or the group allows it. Everyone at the table can see when one is used.
Spare dice are a right to use a feature of the game, not money or property. They have no cash value and can’t be exchanged, passed to another player or cashed in. Each one is used up when it’s used.
Apple takes the payment and handles refunds under its own terms. If Apple refunds a purchase, the spare dice from it are taken back. Unused spare dice are lost if your account is deleted or closed. We may change the prices or stop selling spare dice.
Characters
Characters are drawn in the game’s own style. If you make one from a selfie, only take a photo of yourself. The character is yours alone: nobody else can pick it.
The app as it is
Liars Dice is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but cannot promise that it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we may change or stop parts of it. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss from using it.
Changes
If these terms change in an important way, the app asks you to read them and agree again.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.
